What Makes the Shockwave Different
2-Speaker Stereo
The Shockwave's stereo configuration is its most meaningful advantage over every other FOXPRO model. Two speakers create a wider, more natural sound projection that's harder for animals to locate accurately — which means they approach more confidently and from better angles. In field use, I've noticed more direct approach lines on Shockwave stands versus single-speaker units in the same terrain.
At full volume, the Shockwave is audible at over 600 yards in calm conditions. This isn't just about calling at range — it's about maintaining realistic sound intensity when a coyote approaches from a distance, without the sudden "too loud" effect you get from single-speaker units at close range.
1,000-Sound Library
1,000 sounds is the largest library in the FOXPRO lineup. This matters most for hunters who revisit the same areas frequently — you can rotate extensively through sounds to avoid educating local predators. The library covers coyote, fox, rabbit, bird, deer, turkey, elk, and dozens of variations within each category. The Shockwave also supports USB custom sound uploads for hunters who want to add region-specific sounds.
Built-in Decoy Mount
The Shockwave is the only current FOXPRO model with an integrated decoy mount. This allows you to attach a critter decoy to the top of the unit for visual attraction — particularly effective for wary coyotes that hang up at 80-100 yards. FOXPRO sells compatible critter decoys separately at gofoxpro.com. The mount is solid and doesn't interfere with carrying or field placement.
Field Performance
Over two seasons using the Shockwave across Utah, Nevada, and Kansas, the 200-yard remote performed without failure in all conditions tested — including -10°F mornings and 40+ mph wind on the Kansas plains. The remote antenna range held at approximately 180-190 yards in adverse conditions, dropping to 170 yards in extreme cold.
For tournament predator hunters, the Shockwave is the standard. The 1,000-sound library combined with the stereo projection wins stands where single-speaker calls can't get a hung-up coyote to commit.
What Hunters Say
"Upgraded from a Fusion after three years. The stereo sound spread is immediately noticeable. Coyotes come in on a dead run instead of the cautious circle-approach I was getting before. Worth every dollar."
— Tim R., verified Amazon reviewer (5/5), January 2026
"Run it in Wyoming wind where most calls sound thin and tinny. The Shockwave fills the terrain. Never lost remote signal at any distance I've tried — and I've tested it past 180 yards regularly."
— Gary S., r/predatorhunting, March 2026
"Heavy for pack-in hunting but worth it on the truck hunts. The decoy mount with the shaking critter has closed the deal on at least 6 coyotes that were hanging up at 90 yards. Absolute best call I've ever owned."
— C. Holloway, verified Amazon reviewer (5/5), April 2026

Is the Shockwave worth $500?
For serious predator hunters who run large properties or compete, yes. The 1,000-sound library, stereo speakers, and 200-yard remote are best-in-class. For casual hunters, the Fusion at $350 delivers most of the same benefit at lower cost.
Shockwave vs. NX3 Patriot — which should I get?
Both have 1,000 sounds and 200-yard remotes. The Shockwave adds stereo speakers and the built-in decoy mount; the NX3 is louder (110dB) and costs $120 less. If you want the decoy feature and stereo spread, get the Shockwave. If raw volume for competition is the priority, the NX3 is the better value.
Does the Shockwave have Bluetooth?
No. The Shockwave uses a dedicated wireless remote only. Bluetooth app control is only available on the Hellcat PRO. FOXPRO hasn't added app control to their premium models.
